It's time to celebrate!

I

I have been making cards but never find the time to publish them. After such a long time I have finally made the effort with this 8x8 card.
The number was cut from cork sheets from DCWV which I thought matched the theme but not easy to see in photo. Wine bottles, watch and time to celebrate stamps are from Little Claire and so versatile. Used computer to generate other sentiments as I didn't have any stamps  with the words I wanted. Images coloured with Promarkers

CCT challenge 403 Add some glitter

I have been making cards and all my Christmas cards are delivered/posted now and I am making a start on next years ! Just not had time to photograph and put on my blog. Will have to make more time for myself next year! My first New Year resoloution ?

This is my entry for CCT challenge 403 this week" Add some glitter" which is always easy for me.I made this card yesterday as a thank you card for a friend using a simple Penny Black image which I love.I was so eager to do a card without a Christmas theme. You can't really see the glitter but it is there honestly and can be seen on close up. Not the best of weather for photos is it ? A Hero Arts sentiment, Martha Stewart border punch, and some lovely glass beads from my local florist supplies are used to complete the card.

A touch of citrus

I haven't entered any challenges for ages as with everyone else I suppose my craft seems to take a back seat in favour of routine stuff. I need to change things !! This card is something completely different from my normal work. I created the oval using a stencil and Distress Inks applied by brush. Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey  and a touch of Tea Dye were used. The flowers were from my stash one is a Doo Hickey die. Acrylic paint flicked in the corners and sentiments are Papermania I think ...can't remember exactly as I have had them for ages.
I have entered this in Cute Card Thursday Challenge......Citrus

Bryan Ferry Palace Theatre Manchester 18th May 2015

I know this isn't craft related but we went to see an amazing concert last week at the beautiful Palace Theatre Manchester.I have had to wait for the video to be uploaded to you Tube by my husband before I could post this.
This was a birthday treat and we stayed overnight as well.We had front row seats in the circle and my husband, Phil, shot this video on his phone. The sound is not so good but not bad for a phone recording. We were near to the overhead speakers which did not help.
We enjoyed it so much we are going to Blackpool this weekend to see him again with another overnight stay and we are calling this our wedding  anniversary treat !!
Phil is also pleased that his video had been featured on the Roxy Music Fan Club Facebook site. Fame at last !!

It's a Man's World

This is my latest project for a friend who spends a lot of time in his garage ! He always has a project on the go ! I used an A4  piece of corrugated card from my stash as a landscape card .The image is a Little Claire Room With a View stamp . I stamped the image and coloured it using Promarkers then cut round the door to make a up and over door effect. This I laid over the interior image stamped on white card and used foam pads to add dimension.
The image was matted and layered on to blue card and Kraft card and the smaller tool box and paint pot images added at the side. Sentiment stamps are Craftwork Cards.I am entering in the following Challenges this week.
Little Claire  Challenge 56 .... use Kraft Card and Paper Take Weekly Challenge.....Anything Goes

Birthday Wishes

There are two challenges this week that this card will be perfect for.
Moving Along With The Times-Bingo(Ribbon/Punch/Image)and Cute Card Thursday - Celebrate.
I have used  one of my favourite Penny Black stamps and I have tried to use the colours of the original stamp illustration to match this lovely Pink Petticoat paper. The rosette and paper pleat are made from co-ordinating papers from the same range. The Birthday Wishes is an old stamp punched out with a Woodware circle punch.I also used my EK Success Swiss Cheese border punch  around the edge. Ribbon is from my stash. A little Star Dust Stickles was used on the image and the background paper.

Butterfly dreams

Just a quick card today.I have been on holiday this week and not had time to make many cards.Too busy visiting craft shops !!
This card has once again used some of my mountainous paper stash. The flowers are punched with two sizes of EK Success punch which I think is called retro flower. Just added some little mesh leaves and pearls.Sentiment stamp is a very old  wooden one.
Sprayed the background with Perfect Pearls mica powder to add a glimmer but I don't think my photo picks this up.
Entering this for the following challenges. Papertake Weekly   Anything Goes (with flowers option ) and CCT Diecuts and Punches
